Red Hot & Blue and Rolling Audio are proud to present a day for friends and family to come together and experience the joy of live music in the heart of Cape Town.

Set in the beautiful outdoor setting of Riverside Estate in Hout Bay,  Jazz on the Green will feature a packed day of live music, great food and drinks and lots of family fun. Patrons have the option of attending on either 16 or 17 November with predominately the same programme running each day from 11am to 8pm.

The event brings together Cape Town's vibrant and diverse music community to offer an incredible line up of artists that will take to the stage throughout the day. Sit back, relax and be entertained while you savour a delicious picnic on the lawn from local food and drinks vendors.

With many music genres on the programme, Jazz on the Green provides something for a wide range of tastes.

There'll also be lots of fun for younger visitors. The supervised children's area with a variety of activities will keep them entertained alongside the music.

A collaboration between Vanessa Brierley (Red Hot & Blue Music), Elton Holland (Red Hot & Blue Music and Sord Music) and Grant and Clare Van Zyl & Francois Ashton (Rolling Audio), Jazz on the Green has been carefully curated by a seasoned events team who are immersed in South Africa's music landscape.

"Whether you're a jazz enthusiast or just a lover of unique cultural experiences, this

event has something for everyone," says Vanessa Brierley. "Our line-up features many acclaimed South African artists who will entertain you whilst you indulge in a delectable picnic and summer cocktails."

"We wanted to create a family friendly event where everyone can enjoy the exhilarating experience of live music. Gather family and friends to groove into summer with this great day out. With the jazz line-up from vintage to gypsy and funk to folk, Jazz on the Green is a celebration of music and community."

"If you can't come for the full day, but want to catch the entire line-up, why not make use of the weekend pass to see all the acts but spread it over two days."

The line-up includes:

  • Nick Turner Band - Accomplished singer/songwriter and guitarist, and a founding member of Sons Of Trout, catch Nick Turner and his band
  • Ramon Alexander Trio – The legendary maestro with his band
  • Moonshine – Cape Town's hippest swing, rock 'n roll and Motown band. Jazz with a Kick!
  • Nomadic Orchestra – the five-piece instrumental dance band guaranteed to get you grooving
  • Jason Ward Trio – Cape Town's most energetic and artistic drummer and percussionist
  • Francesca Biancoli – the singer / songwriter brings her contemporary melding of Jazz and       Neo-Soul, offering audiences a soulful and original sound
  • The Hot Club of Cape Town - presenting instrumental jazz classics in the hot swing / gypsy  jazz style
  • Graham Burton Band – Graham's equally at home in the jazz, soul and blues genres
  • The Vanessa Lee Trio – Step into the world of Vintage Jazz Classics with Vanessa Lee, Valentino Europa and Winston Siljeur
  • The Jazz Catz – enjoy the fusion mix of the smooth Catz Boris Guderjahn and Ryan Sackanary
  • Dan Fernandes - Contemporary music that will satisfy your love of funky grooves and dance music.

Jazz on the Green will be presented on Saturday 16 at Sunday 17 November from 11am to 8pm at Riverside Estate in Hout Bay.
