KC107.7, a pioneer in community broadcasting in the Cape Winelands, is proud to announce its partnership with LinkedIn and Microsoft for the second Cape Winelands Knowledge Sharing Festival (CWKF), set to take place on 11 March 2025. This collaboration underscores KC107.7's unwavering commitment to addressing youth unemployment by creating opportunities for skill development and professional networking.

Building on the success of the inaugural CWKF in 2024, this year’s theme, "How LinkedIn and Artificial Intelligence Are Unlocking Youth Opportunities," highlights the transformative role of technology in addressing youth unemployment. The festival will bring together stakeholders from government, business, academia, and the community to tackle this pressing issue.

The event will include interactive workshops, training sessions, and keynote addresses. Youth attendees will gain access to tools and resources such as LinkedIn Learning, strategies for building professional profiles, and insights into thriving in the digital economy. Microsoft will provide expertise on artificial intelligence, offering skills essential for navigating the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Dr Harlan Cloete, Chairman of KC107.7, expressed his enthusiasm: “This partnership exemplifies our belief in collective action. Together with LinkedIn and Microsoft, we aim to unlock the vast potential of our youth, providing them with the skills and opportunities needed to thrive in a global economy.”

Seamus Clance- Head of Public Sector, Healthcare & NFP Sales at LinkedIn EMEA & LATAM said, “We are passionate about creating youth opportunities across South Africa. We are looking forward to making a lasting impact.”

The CWKF aligns with KC107.7’s broader mission to foster sustainable development and strengthen local communities through innovation and collaboration. With over 100,000 weekly listeners and a growing online audience, KC107.7 continues to serve as a catalyst for positive change in the region.
