Cape Town's iconic Two Oceans Marathon returns on 5-6 April 2025, transforming the city into a global running paradise. Over 30,000 athletes from 89 countries will conquer two breathtaking courses showcasing the Mother City's natural beauty.

The Ultimate Running Challenge

On Saturday 5 April, ultra-athletes embark on the "World's Most Beautiful Marathon" - a grueling 56km journey from Newlands past Muizenberg's colorful huts, Kalk Bay's fishing harbor, Chapman's Peak's coastal cliffs, and Constantia's vineyards before finishing at UCT with Table Mountain as their backdrop.

The Half Marathon on Sunday 6 April offers a 21.1km tour through leafy suburbs like Claremont and Wynberg, ending at UCT's rugby fields where runners will be greeted by cheering crowds.

Festival of Running

The action kicks off earlier with:
📌 Two Oceans Expo (2-5 April at DHL Stadium) - 100+ exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge running tech and gear
🏃 International Friendship Run (4 April) - 500 global runners racing 5km along the Atlantic seaboard
🌿 Trail Runs - Off-road adventures through Cape Town's stunning landscapes

Economic Boost & Road Closures

"The marathon generates millions for local businesses," says Alderman JP Smith. "From hotels to restaurants, the entire city benefits."

Residents should note:
