Cape Town is set for a high-energy Easter long weekend, as the City’s Events Permitting Office greenlights at least 27 events expected to draw over 100,000 attendees across the metro. From iconic music performances and international rugby to grassroots football and community runs, the Mother City is embracing a jam-packed celebration of culture, sport, and entertainment.
The action kicks off early, with world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli taking the stage at DHL Stadium on 16 April for his 30th anniversary concert. Accompanied by a full orchestra, choir, and special guests, Bocelli’s performance promises an unforgettable evening, with gates opening at 17:00 and free MyCiTi shuttles available from the Civic Centre.
