Restaurant: Saray Turkish Restaurant
Review by Naushad Khan
Saray Turkish Restaurant in the Clocktower at the VA Waterfront is a real slice of Istanbul and I am glad I discovered it today. The restaurant has been serving authentic Turkish cuisine for almost 2 years and looks like they have secured a large loyal following amongst locals and visitors alike.
The menu features a wide variety of dishes, including kebabs, grills, pides, and mezes. Their food is fresh and delicious, and the service is excellent. It is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious Turkish meal in one of the most visited leisure destinations on the African continent.
Here are the dishes I had for lunch today:
* Humus: Traditional chickpeas starter served with baked bread.
* Patlican: Smoked aubergine puree.
* Mixed Grill: Collection of adana kebab, lamb chops, kofte and chicken kebab served with chips, bulgar wheat and breads.
* Sutlac: A creamy rice pudding.
Saray is a great place to enjoy a delicious Turkish meal with friends or family. The food is authentic and delicious, the service is top class, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
If you are looking for a true Turkish food experience in Cape Town, I highly recommend Saray Turkish Restaurant in the Clocktower at the VA Waterfront.
