This festive season, Ster-Kinekor is rolling out its Throwback Cinema promotion, offering moviegoers the chance to revisit iconic films for just R50 per ticket. The campaign runs throughout December 2024 and into January 2025, with a selection of beloved classics screening at select Ster-Kinekor cinemas nationwide.
The line-up features family favorites and cinematic gems across multiple genres, starting with the holiday comedy Elf, launching on 6 December 2024. This Will Ferrell classic follows Buddy the Elf’s misadventures in New York City. Next, Home Alone, starring Macaulay Culkin, hits the big screen from 13 December. On 20 December, Jim Carrey’s iconic portrayal of the Grinch in How the Grinch Stole Christmas delights audiences. Wrapping up the year, Back to the Future Part III starts its run on 27 December, taking viewers on a time-traveling adventure with Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd.
The fun continues into January, kicking off with Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar on 3 January 2025. Other must-see titles include Groundhog Day on 10 January, Will Smith’s inspiring Pursuit of Happyness on 17 January, and The Truman Show on 31 January.
