The MyCiTi bus service has introduced festive season schedule adjustments to ensure residents and visitors can travel with ease during the holidays. With late-night shopping services and a special beach route for Atlantis residents, the MyCiTi team is making it convenient to explore Cape Town this festive season.
Late-Night Shopping Services
Shoppers can enjoy extended hours at the V&A Waterfront and Canal Walk, with late-night buses ensuring a safe and stress-free return home.
Canal Walk: Late-night services from 6–23 December 2024:
Route D08: Last bus departs at 22:30.
Route T03: Last bus departs at 22:30.
V&A Waterfront: Late-night services from 13–30 December 2024:
Route T01: Last bus departs at 22:15.
Route 214a: Last bus departs Table View station at 23:04.
Silwerstroomstrand Holiday Service
From 14 December 2024 to 5 January 2025, residents of Atlantis, Pella, and Mamre can enjoy a special Route 247 service to Silwerstroomstrand beach and resort. Operating on select days, buses depart Atlantis station at 09:00 and 13:00, returning at 09:30, 14:00, and 18:00.
Service dates include 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 26–31 December, and 1–5 January 2025.
Reduced Weekday Services
Due to lower commuter volumes, the following adjustments will apply from 17 December 2024 to 5 January 2025:
Fewer buses on routes T01, T02, T03, 109, 231, and 235.
Route D05 will not operate during this period.
